 CONSULTANT-LED CBT PRACTICE
Roje is a Consultant Psychotherapist with extensive NHS and private practice experience. She specialises in helping Black, Asian, and diaspora professionals navigate the intersection of mental health, workplace dynamics, and cultural identity.
How we work:
Your initial consultation is always with Roje. Depending on your needs, ongoing therapy may be delivered by Roje or by experienced therapists within her team—all working under her direct clinical supervision. This consultant-led model means you benefit from Roje's expertise throughout your care, with consistent, culturally informed support tailored to you.
Understanding Corporate Environments
High-achieving professionals often experience anxiety that is invisible to others but deeply impactful.
Before training as a clinical therapist, Roje worked in the City alongside chartered financial analysts and investment professionals. This experience provides first-hand understanding of the psychological demands of high-pressure corporate environments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Roje supported medical professionals and a leading London law firm with their staff who were experiencing health anxiety, burnout, and performance-related stress.
This combination of lived corporate experience and clinical expertise allows therapy to focus on precision and relevance — without the need to explain the realities of your working world.
Specialist for BAME Professionals
We specialise in working with Black, Asian, and minority ethnic professionals experiencing anxiety, stress, or burnout shaped by cultural and workplace pressures.
Our therapy addresses:
- Belonging anxiety and fear of judgement in office settings
- Anxiety from code-switching and navigating micro-aggressions
- Intergenerational trauma and family expectations
- Cultural norms around mental health and emotion
This approach is particularly effective for clients who found previous therapy helpful but felt something was missing—the cultural context that shapes their experience.
CBT With Cultural & Social Context
CBT is a proven treatment for anxiety, stress, perfectionism, social anxiety, and procrastination. But for many professionals, these struggles have deeper roots.
Common experiences we address:
- Perfectionism driven by needing to be "twice as good"
- Social anxiety and fear of judgmentÂ
- Procrastination rooted in fear of failure or not being enough
- Imposter syndrome despite proven achievements
Our approach goes beyond standard CBT. We integrate evidence-based therapy—addressing both your symptoms and the systems maintaining your distress.
CBT for Chronic Stress & Burn-OutÂ
Chronic workplace stress affects sleep, concentration, physical health, and emotional regulation. Many high-achieving professionals appear to be coping externally while feeling depleted internally.
We use CBT adapted from health psychology to address stress at both psychological and physical levels—helping you build sustainable strategies for long-term wellbeing.
We also support clients managing chronic health conditions where stress plays a role. See full list of conditions here.
Therapy for Faith & Spirituality
For many BAME clients, faith and spirituality are central to identity and resilience. Yet mainstream therapy often overlooks this—leaving you feeling unseen.
Where relevant, we integrate religious beliefs, spiritual values, and cultural identity into evidence-based CBT in a way that is clinically grounded and culturally respectful.
We work with clients from diverse faith backgrounds including:
- Muslim and Islamic traditions
- Christian and Afro-Caribbean church communities
- Hindu, Sikh, and South Asian spiritual practices
- Secular and non-religious perspectives
